Good Tape is an automatic transcription service that helps journalists (and others) easily turn audio recordings into text. I collaborated with the startup in early 2025 as a UX/UI Designer and Front-End Developer, focusing on improving the user experience and optimizing core platform flows.
One of my first contributions was to propose a feature that would allow users to record audio directly within the web app. To illustrate this, I created an interactive prototype for an in-app recording tool:
Later, I worked on designing and developing components for the semantic search functionality — shaping the flow from the search input to the results display and implementing it as React components within the main application, built with Remix and Tailwind.
I also explored the design of a larger upcoming feature, collaborative collections, which would allow users to group transcriptions into folders and share them with others. Although this remained at the design stage during my time with the team, I created prototype flows to help visualize its potential.
